I think it's hard for us to truly understand the mindset of a culture that is so different to the western mindset. I suspect that its' American origins are the main reason or maybe the build quality?
I agree, I think by people claiming the 360 can't have decent JRPG's just because it's an America console is ignorant. Don't think this perception will change anytime soon either, I guess they will continue to miss out, while we enjoy these great games
Exactly, everyone has different opinions on what constitutes as a good game, its great that you have found the console that appeals to you. Don't get me wrong, If I had the spare cash, I would get the PS3 in a flash.

Yeah agree with most comments, game looks great. I am also hoping framerate issues are sorted out. Installs will work a treat with RPG's though.
For me personally I'm still on the fence atm. Will LBP push me to purchase it, who knows? It certainly has some great games (MGS4 was amazing) yet I don't know what else really appeals to me. SO Im still in two minds, if it is right for me at this point in time.
There seems to be a lot of these types of Sony articles, justifying the PS3 as great system, why can't the system justify its own purchase with simply a solid lineup of games?
I totally agree mate, some 'gamers' on both ends of the spectrum add like idiots in regards to 'exclusives' moving to other platforms.
That type of reaction in regards to Star Ocean 4, certainly creates those type of assumptions, though we don't really know what goes on behind closed doors (though I could probably have an educated guess). :)

HERE, HERE. I just don't understand peoples (fanboys) perceptions of how a company is run. Nintendo has found a market with basically limitless potential to generate revenue and good on them. If you think Sony or MS would have had the foresight to adopt such a strategy and wouldn't have taken it, then your clearly delusional.
Its all about balance, I can accept an emphasis on a 'casual' audience, as long as I get the occasional 'Hardcore' game.
What about the multi disc FF games on the PS1?
I think this article puts the recent FFXIII announcement in perspective, companies don't look at loyalty the way some fanboys do, If there is an opportunity to make more money from a multiplat release, they will take it.
I definitely agree with that comment, I consider myself a "Hardcore gamer" (though I despise that term) and have been satisfied with the Wii's hardcore offerings. Though truthfully, it is more of a compliment to my other systems, I get the best of both worlds.

Good question. Yes and No, the majority of the time the US might get games a few days before AU/UK. Though there have been cases of massive delays between NTSC (US) and PAL releases (example being Tales of Vesperia).

It shouldn't be a big problem though, shipping is usually pretty quick as well.
All you have to do is make sure the games are PAL (Australian and UK/European Regions, and some other).
